A cover letter of sorts,
or maybe just a place to pontificate.

I've made this portfolio page for a few job applications that would be bolstered by it, or require it, but I'd also like to take this opporatunity to introduce myself.

For many years I didn't want to consider myself an artist, because my education and priorities have always been focused far more on the practical. I've changed a lot in my life, moved cities, states, grown and changed. Nothing is safe, even my gender has changed from its starting point. But as I look around my desk, my room, and my working space, I can easily see one of the constants in my life - creativity. I'm making this page to show that off, something that I have struggled with in the past. But within my sight as I write this are a minagerie of my creative works. Models I have built, painted and weathered, writing ideas and snippets of poetry, designs for furniture and woodworking projects, oil paintings of my beloved d̶a̶u̶g̶h̶t̶e̶r̶ cat and countless sketches strewn about on corkboard and under important papers. Art is somehow fundamental to my being, and I want to better hone my craft, and make my way into more creative industries.

Recent Work

Hand-made sketchbook

Pocket sketchbook made from leftover paper from a sketchook with a broken spine. Rebuilt into a new form for fun. My goal is to fill the sketchbook by the end of the fall.

Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987)

Enterprise-D 3D printed from a model, assembled repaired and painted. This was finished in time for my mom's birthday, and hangs in her office.

Replacement Sun Visors C4 Corvette

Replacement Sun Visors for my project 93' Corvette. Rather than buying new, I used the old base as a template, build a plastic template, and used a router to cut new ones.

Recent Sketches

Highlights of sketches that I've made recently. Most of them aren't good, but that's alright.

Get In Touch

I keep really up to date with my email, so it's the best way to get a hold of me. Feel free to ask questions, although I don't know what you'd want to know. I haven't been showing off my work for long, so I don't figure anyone would want to ask for me to make art for them, but if you're interested, I'd be happy to negotiate real cheap pricing if you're interested in commissioning some work.
