About Me,
to learn more and see how much I can brag.
My name is Brynn Wright, and I'm a Trans Woman based out of the Willamette Valley. I've lived along the Pacific coast my whole life, north and south, and I've found I have to be near forests or else I go insane.
I (almost) have a degree in History from Oregon State University, which is a pivot I made from Nuclear Engineering. I completed two years of Nuclear Engineering education and switched because I broke my leg and missed several very important pre-requisites in 2022. I found a love for history, and I only look back occassionally. Engineering really burnt me out, and I don't think the industry would be all that much different.
I originally made this portfolio to apply for a position at Industrial Light & Magic. Working on practical effects is a dream job of mine. It combines so many of my passions, creativity, art, modeling, problem-solving, engineering, design, and sometimes History. I'm also making this page so that I have a place to point to when I'm asked about art, and my various projects. I'm hoping to keep updating this website and use it for my semi-bi-anual "go for it, whatever" job application days. I don't have much to lose, so I may as well swing for the fences every so often.
On my main page, I mentioned I have too many hobbies to list, but giving this is a page is just to blurt out information about myself, I may as well go for it. Hobbies include carpentry, woodworking, home rennovation (with a focus on electrical systems, although I pretty much just fix everything at my parents when they need me to), drawing, painting, digital art and sketching, crafting, felting, model creation, model painting, furniture repair, car restoration, car drifting, digital archiving, audio tuning, reading, writing, cooking, guitar, bass guitar, video games, D&D, and so many more. I'm missing like a majority, I can't seem to drop hobbies, but I can very easily pick them up. I'm one of those people that just has to try and learn everything she can, and thank god my partner is the same way or I'd drive her insane.
